This page is about me exploring to retire from 9 to 5 job and build a passive income.  What will your reaction be when HR hand you a letter thanking you for the long service with the company? You know this will happen one day.  Maybe soon or in a distant future.  Life planning advocates that you should have some saving about 12 to 18 months of your salary behind you.

Start looking for another job and stress yourself out meeting targets and matrix reporting.  Eventually, you will still have to call it quit.  Why not take this opportunity to do something different and take ownership of your future to be your own BOSS.  How about exploring internet marketing to make a passive income could be one possibility.  Join an affiliate program to promote products that you have used before and starts building a passive income.

Its the next phase of my life and the journey has just started.  I hope to share the joy, lessons learned and wisdom with you so that we all grow together and have a richer after 9 to 5 work-life balance.

The Journey Is About Me Searching…

This journey will be different from my corporate life as it is geared towards a richer work-life balance.  It will not just be about earning money online.  It is about learning, sharing and be at peace with oneself and the surrounding.  Yes, we need to generate some income because money doesn’t just drop from the sky.  There are not many low hanging fruits in life.  Neither do we have rich parents or inheritance.  Furthermore, we have to be responsible for our own life so that we will not be a burden to our children or society.

Taking good care of our health through proper diet and exercise, maintain positive mental health and spiritual growth are of primary importance.  Sharing corporate experience and management practices as well as wisdom gained from books that I have read.  Take personal responsibility and playing our part to care for the environment by practicing the 3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle) by reducing consumption which affects global warming and promotes sustainability.

And equally important to cultivate loving-kindness, showing of gratitude and caring towards those who have played a major part in our life especially our parents, wife, children, relatives, friends and loyal pets.

I would greatly appreciate if you could share your thought by dropping me a comment.  If there is anything else which I can be of help, just drop me an email and I will get back to you within 24 hours.

Thanks for the info you presented here. I retired about 2 years ago and need to find a means to supplement my income so I’m doing this also.

      Hi Liz,

I also think this is a decent way to supplement the income. With your years of experience, I believe there is always something you can contribute and share with the community and the world. Wishing the road to success.

Keep working to improve every day Kelsey. You are in a great place to learn and are off to a good start. We all must plan for the day our 9-5 is over. Even better never start a job you feel you have to leave. Do what you love to do and not have to work 9-5. That’s the ticket!

      Hi Peter,

It is a new ball game when one actually retire. Both mentally and physically and of course financially. So joining WA is a great choice to learn and grow with the community and eventually earn a passive income.

      Warmest regards

Sounds like you have the right mindset to build a powerful website, combine with a calmness and patience that will be able to help many people find an alternative, but dependent source of income Kelsey.

Your website is off to a fantastic start and I am really liking your theme.

Glad to see you have decided to share Wealthy Affiliate with you readers. Took me almost 10 years to find them, and I haven’t looked back since!

Looking forward to following your progress.

      Hi Marc,

Great to receive your comment. It took me some courage to show it to our community when it is still half cook (WIP). Thanks for your encouragement and feedback on the theme that I have chosen.

      Best regards
